Camden County Offers Free Online Trainings for Overdose Reversal Drug

COVID-19 has kept many of us at home these past months, but Camden County is still offering its free trainings to learn how to use Naloxone, a drug used to reverse opioid overdose.

The free Webex trainings run from 12:30 to 2 pm on the last Tuesday of each month. Registration is required, and each person who participates will have a Naloxone Nasal Spray kit shipped to them.

Trainings will include:

– Addiction education and treatment options
– Overdose prevention techniques
– Signs and symptoms of overdose
– Steps to take when an overdose occurs
– Rescue breathing
– How to administer Naloxone, self-help, family support and other important resource information

To register for a training, contact Patty DiRenzo by calling 856-374-6137 or email patty.direnzo@camdencounty.com.
