5 Classes For Seniors to Stay Fit

Being active has no age limit, especially in South Jersey. We rounded up some upbeat classes that will keep you moving all year long.


Nice ‘N Easy Water

Virtua Fitness

This aquatics class will make you stronger and more flexible while being gentle on the joints. Starting at 8 am every Monday, this class is fit for all levels and included in a membership.


Senior Steppers

The Kroc Corps Community Center
1865 Harrison Avenue, Camden
Step your way to a healthier you with these dance step routines. The free class will improve your balance, coordination and endurance, and is offered at 10 am on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month.


Wednesday Walks

Stone Harbor
Get in some exercise while taking in the sights of this beautiful Shore town. As part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign, Stone Harbor is offering weekly walks from noon to 12:30 pm every Wednesday. Each low-impact walk is guided by a community leader and explores new spots. In the case of inclement weather, indoor activities will be available.



Burlington County Libraries
Stretch, breathe and find your center with these free yoga class offered at Burlington County libraries. Whether you prefer to practice on a mat, in a chair, or by candlelight, there’s a class for you. Times and locations vary, so check the website.


Line Dancing

Collingswood Community Center
30 West Collings Avenue, Collingswood
Move to the rhythm with this fun and active dance class. Follow along as an instructor takes you through steps to your favorite music. The class takes place at 1 pm on Fridays and costs $3.
