South Jersey Wine Shines in National Competition

Since New Jersey wineries began popping up years ago, they have proven again and again that wine doesn’t have to come from California to be amazing. Last week, four South Jersey wineries took home impressive awards at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

Sharrott Winery, based in Hammonton, won a Double Gold medal for its Wicked style port wine. The winery also received three silver and four bronze medals for other wines.

Neighboring White Horse Winery won two silver and two bronze medals, while Mullica Hill’s Heritage Vineyards walked away with a silver and bronze. Bellview Winery of Landisville earned its share of awards, walking away with two silver and five bronze medals.
