Skip the Yelp review – now you can dish on restaurants on TV.

“Check Please!” is a new series debuting on WHYY public TV in which host Kae Lani Palmisano, a South Jersey native, sits down with locals to taste and review their favorite dishes at local restaurants.

Each episode features three guests who are diners – not professional restaurant critics – who share their favorite gems for the other guests to visit. Then, they come together to discuss, dispute and celebrate their dining experiences.

You won’t see raging debates on the best type of Wawa hoagie, but you may find some dining inspiration for your next night out.
