Where to see Cherry Blossoms in South Jersey this Spring

Our favorite season is here: it’s time to wander around and soak in the sun while the cherry blossoms bloom. Check out these South Jersey – and a little further – spots to see the picturesque scenes. 

Tip: keep an eye out on Instagram for the best times to visit, as the peak bloom varies year-to-year, but can be expected sometime in April. 

 

Sayen House & Gardens

Chapel Avenue 

Cherry Hill

The two-miles of Chapel Avenue lined with cherry blossoms were planted in remembrance of the victims of 9/11. It stretches between Haddonfield Ave. and Kings Hwy. 

 

Seabrook Buddhist Temple

Bridgeton

Cherry Blossom Festival, featuring Japanese Folk Dancing, Taiko Drumming, Japanese food, silent auction, children’s crafts and more on April 26 from noon to 3 pm. (Free admission, $5 per car parking.)

Free admission

Cherry Blossom-themed events throughout April, including a bike race, talks, fun runs and festivals. 

 

Fairmount Park 

Philadelphia 

The Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia is happening March 28 & 29, featuring performances, a pet costume contest, face painting, a sushi contest, matcha, workshops and more. Tickets cost $15 in advance, $20 the day of the event (Children 12 and under are free). 

 

Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Morristown

Open daily, 8 am to dusk
