9/11 Heroes Run

September 8

Support veterans and families of the fallen during this fundraiser for the Travis Manion Foundation. The 5K and 1-mile run/walk will happen at Cooper River Park, the event starts at 9 am. For more information, visit the website

Out in the Park Festival

September 8 

Celebrate with South Jersey’s LGBTQ+ community with vendors, food, live entertainment and giveaways at Cooper River Park. The festival begins at noon. For more information, visit the website

Ocean City Airport Festival

September 14 

Unusual planes touch down at Ocean City Municipal Airport for this unique festival. Get up close to planes that flew in World War II, Classics, Warbirds and more. And watch a parachute jump from Team Fastrax. The free festival runs from 10 am to 3 pm. For more information, visit the website

Recovery Softball Tournament

September 20

The Camden County Addiction Awareness Task Force hosts its annual softball tournament to raise awareness for those battling opioid addiction. The tournament starts at 8:30 am at Valleybrook Field in Blackwood. For more information, visit the website

Merchantville Music Fest

September 21

Jam out to local bands and a DJ set, stop by the beer garden and visit food vendors during Merchantville’s annual free music festival. The festival is hosted from 3 to 9 pm in downtown Merchantville. For more information, visit the website

Symphony in C

September 21 

Hear the enchanting sounds of Rodrigo, Stravinsky and more as performed by Symphony in C, under the musical direction of Noam Aviel. The concert begins at 7:30 pm at the Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts. For more information and tickets, visit the website.  

Historic Smithville Italian Festival

September 21 

Italy comes to South Jersey with Italian folk dancers, imported goods, Bocce Ball, wine tasting, Italian food and music during the Historic Smithville Italian Festival. Alice Paul Institute 40th Anniversary Gala

September 26 

Alice Paul Institute is celebrating 40 years of equality, education and empowerment at its Anniversary Gala, hosted at the National Constitution Center. The night begins with a VIP toast at 6 pm and a reception at 6:30 pm, followed by a presentation with a performance from Hawley Gould of Tony-nominated musical Suffs. Twilight Battleship New Jersey Tour (21+)

September 27 

Get a VIP look at the iconic Battleship New Jersey – after hours. The tour will feature an exclusive look at rarely seen areas of the ship, sailor art and stories. Plus, guests can enjoy a glass of wine, beer or soda on the Main Deck after the tour. Tickets cost $40 ($20 for Battleship members), and the tour begins at 6 pm. Collingswood’s Porchfest

September 28

Music is in the air (and on porches) for Collingswood’s annual town-wide concert series. Homes across town will host performers on their porches and the day ends with an after-party. The performances happen between noon and 7 pm. For more information, visit the website

Trails, Tails & Ales 5K & Beer Garden

September 28 

Run (or walk) for our furry friends during Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge’s fundraising event. Participants will receive a t-shirt, lite bites before the race, meet and greet with an animal resident and a sample cup for the beer garden. Tickets are available for just the beer garden as well. MS City to Shore Ride 

September 28

The ultimate ride through South Jersey returns to raise awareness and funds for MS. Bike from Cherry Hill to Ocean City with fellow participants – or opt for one of the shorter routes. Catered rest stops are available along the way. For more information, visit the website.
