Things to Do in South Jersey this June

The countdown to summer is on – and we’re filling our calendars with flowers, beach trips, festivals and so much more. Check out the South Jersey events you can’t miss. 

 

Ocean City Flower Show 

June 6 

Take a break from your beach bathing to smell the roses…literally…at the Ocean City Flower Show. Commercial, amateur and child flower creations will be on display at the Music Pier from 2 to 8 pm on Friday, 10 am to 8 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Entry is free. Jeeps on the Waterfront 

June 7 (rain date: June 8) 

Jeep owners, fanatics and casual fans are all invited to the Jeeps on the Waterfront event to support the BCPD community policing programs. The free event will feature food vendors, jeep vendors, a DJ, silent auction and more. Running from noon to 5 pm at 101 Pearl Blvd. East, Burlington. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Nite at the Races

June 7 

Get your best racetrack look ready for the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s horse racing event, with drink specials, prizes, a buffet and pre-recorded horse races. Tickets cost $35, and the event starts at 4 pm at Fairview Social. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Happy Hour aboard the Battleship

June 11 

Cheers to making it halfway through the weekend aboard the Battleship New Jersey during its monthly happy hour. Enjoy a complimentary drink, light food and live entertainment against the backdrop of the Philly skyline. Tickets cost $20, or $10 for designated drivers. The event is 21+ and starts at 5 pm. Military Timeline Weekend 

June 14 & 15 

Watch history come to life as re-enactors set up encampments, display weaponry and demonstrate conflicts throughout history. The groups will be set up from 11 am to 4 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and the experience is included with admission to Historic Cold Spring Village. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Festival of Antiques 

June 14

Yellow Garage hosts its annual antiques festival at the Gloucester County 4H Fairgrounds from 9 am to 3 pm, where visitors can browse a variety of antiques and collectibles. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Vintage Motorcycle Festival & Swap Meet 

June 20 – June 22 

Watch vintage motorcycle racing and browse 60,000 sq. ft. of bikes, parts, merchandise and collectibles during the Vintage Motorcycle Festival at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The event runs from 10 am to 6 pm each day. Tickets cost $40 for a three-day pass or $15 for Sunday only. Kids under 12 are free. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Coffee and Chocolate Festival 

June 20 

Dive into all things coffee and chocolate at this Cape May festival featuring samples from local businesses, a chocolate fountain, s’mores bar, live music, prizes and more. The event runs from 11 am to 7 pm at the Cape May Convention Center. Tickets range from $35 to $50. For more information, visit the website.  

 

Summer Solstice Festival 

June 21 

Celebrate summer at Avalon’s Summer Solstice Festival at Surfside Park. The evening will feature live music, food vendors, beer and wine, balloon artists, face painters and a fairy tinsel hair booth. The festival runs from 5 to 9 pm at Surfside Park. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Juneteenth Celebration

June 21 

The Camden County Historical Society hosts a dinner and festival to celebrate Juneteenth, with live performances, free admission and self-guided tours of the museum (2 to 4 pm), a special menu from Chef Larry and friends, and more from 2 to 8 pm. Tickets for the Gathering Dinner, starting at 4 pm, cost $200 for individuals, $300 for couples and $1400 for a group of ten. For more information, visit the website. 

 

Firefly and Ladybug Party 

June 21

Grab your little ones for a bug hunt, a make and take craft and to learn about fireflies and ladybugs with the Camden County Certified Gardeners.
