Things to do in South Jersey this February

Love is in the (frigid) air this month. So we’re gathering the people we love and heading out to have some classic South Jersey fun.

Camden County’s Winterfest
Feb. 1 – Feb. 23
It’s your last chance to check out the food, music, skating and more at Camden County’s riverside ice skating rink. The annual rink closes for the season on Feb. 23. For a full schedule (including special events), visit the website.

Laser Taylor Swift
Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23
The Eras Tour may be over, but Taylor Swifts’ legendary performances live on with Edelman Planetarium’s weekend laser shows. Watch the Grammy-award-winning music come to life among lasers during these public shows. Shows begin at 4:30 pm, and cost $8 for adults and $5 for kids ages 2 and up. Galentines with Alice Paul
Feb. 8
Put classic print-making practices to work for some fun Galentine cards crafts at the Alice Paul Center for Gender Justice’s Family Saturday. From noon to 3 pm, try out those print-making practices on your own cards and see historic examples of Valentine’s that suffragists used in their fight for the vote. Renew your vows at Absecon Lighthouse
Feb. 14
Take in some romance by the sea at Absecon Lighthouse’s annual vow renewal ceremony. Participate in a group vow renewal starting at 6 pm, then enjoy a toast, live music, dancing and a romantic climb. A minimum donation of $40 is required to join. For more information, visit the website.

Valentine’s Day Party
Feb. 14
Celebrate the people you love at Perkins Center for the Arts: Collingswood’s Valentine’s Day Party, running from 7 to 10 pm. Tickets cost $20. For more information, visit the website.

Eagles Autism Foundation Winterfest
Feb. 15
Join Swoop, Eagles cheerleaders and Eagles players to raise funds for autism awareness at Inlet on Olde in North Wildwood. The event features live entertainment, face painting for the kids and more fun from noon to 5 pm. Tickets range from $20 to $50 (with a private meet-and-greet available for $500). Winter Warrior
Feb. 15
Put your perseverance to the test – in dropping temperatures – at Ocean City’s Winter Warrior Challenge Course. A variety of courses are available for adults, kids and teams, and a festival featuring hot chocolate, vendors, music and fire heaters will be hosted from 9 am to 2 pm at the Civic Center. Crafts & Collectibles Show
Feb. 15 & 16
Explore the wares, crafts and collectibles presented by artists from all over the Northeast during Cape May MAC’s crafts & collectibles show. The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm each day at Cape May Convention Hall. For more information, visit the website.

Student Day at Battleship New Jersey
Feb. 22
Bring your student aboard the Battleship New Jersey for a special tour and hands-on, classroom-style lesson that includes tours of the engine rooms and gun turrets. The tours are hosted from 10 am to noon and cost $12 per person. For more information, visit the website.

Blood Drive
Feb. 23
Celebrate American Heart Month by donating blood at Grounds For Sculpture’s blood drive. Donors will receive free admission to the sculpture park as well as a free coffee or hot chocolate from the Van Gogh Café. The blood drive runs from 9 am to 3 pm. For more information, visit the website.
