Put the TikTok away (we know it’s hard), it’s time to get some fresh air and have a lot of fun with the kids with these kid-friendly activities.
An indoor splash

We’re keeping the summer fun going with Camden Kroc’s Community Center indoor water park. Stop by to slip down the twisting slide, get soaked under the massive bucket and relax in the lazy river. The water park is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, Saturday from 3 to 7:30 pm and Sunday from 3 to 5:30 pm (extended weekend hours for members). Nature for tots
Clayton
Introduce your little ones to nature with this Gloucester County educational program at Scotland Run Park. Toddlers will learn about owls, eagles and other creatures crawling around in our backyards and get to do a nature craft to take home as well. The free program is hosted on Oct. 15, Oct. 29 and Nov. 12 and registration is required. For more information, visit the website.
Little artists
Hamilton
Grounds For Sculpture is the perfect spot for letting your children immerse themselves in art – literally. Explore the sculpture park to get out some of that energy while seeing larger-than-life creations and some classics that have stepped off the canvas. Plus, the museum hosts an interactive art class for kids age 3 to 5 each month. For more information, visit the website.
Kid’s mini theater
Deptford
Did you know there’s a small theater in the Deptford Mall? And it’s for kids! The Kid’s Mini Theater hosts performances on the 4th Thursday of each month featuring music, dancing and storytelling. There are also giveaways and snacks available. Showtimes are 10 am, 11 am and noon. Registration is required. For more information, visit the website.
Search for animals
Camden
There’s so much fun to be had at Adventure Aquarium – like a scavenger hunt for your little ones, worksheets for them to complete before or after their visit, a multi-sensory experience that mimics the Amazon Rainforest, touch tanks, a KidZone and more.
