4 Lighthouses to visit in South Jersey this summer

Things are looking up – at least they are when you’re visiting some of our favorite Jersey Shore spots for sightseeing. Like these 4 South Jersey lighthouses: 

Absecon Lighthouse

Absecon 

Sept. – June: Open Thurs. To Mon., from 10 am to 5 pm

July & Aug: Open every day from 11 am to 4 pm

Admission: $10 for adults, $6 for children

171 ft tall, New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse

 

Cape May Lighthouse

Cape May Point

Apr. to Oct.: Open weekends from 10 am to 5 pm

Nov. to Mar.: Open every day from 9 am to 5 pm

Admission: $12 for adults, $8 for children 

199 steps to the top 

 

Hereford Inlet Lighthouse

North Wildwood

Open every day from 9 am to 5 pm through mid-October

Admission: free 

49 ½ feet tall 

 

Barnegat Lighthouse

Barnegat Light

Open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day from  10 am- 4:30 pm (weather permitting)

Admission: $3 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-11 and free for children ages 5 and under

217 steps to the top
