Eagles Win Big on Monday Night
The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Redskins 28-13 on national television during Monday Night Football on home turf at Lincoln Financial Field. The birds improved to 6-6 and continues to push for a Wild Card spot in the playoffs. The team looks ahead to the Dallas Cowboys who hold the first-place spot in the NFC East.

Flyers Name New GM
The Philadelphia Flyers named Chuck Fletcher Executive Vice President and General Manager after the firing of Ron Hextall last week. Fletcher recently served as a Senior Advisor to the General Manager/Hockey Operations for the New Jersey Devils. “It is an honor to join the Flyers, an iconic NHL franchise, and I would like to thank Dave Scott and Paul Holmgren for entrusting me to guide the team forward,” Fletcher said in a press release announcing the hiring.

Phillies Trade for All-Star Player
The Philadelphia Phillies are having a busy off season. The team announced a trade that acquired all-star infielder Jean Segura, right-handed pitcher Juan Nicasio and left-handed pitcher James Pazos from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for infielders J.P. Crawford and Carlos Santana. Segura, who will play short stop for the Phillies in 2019, has hit .300 or better in each of the last three seasons and led the majors with 203 hits in 2016.

Sixers Perfect in Three-Game Homestand
Thanks to a 103-95 victory against the Memphis Grizzlies Sunday night, the Sixers capped their latest three-game homestand with a perfect record. The team now has the best home record in the NBA with 13 wins and the second-most wins in the league with 17.
