Earlier this month, Philadelphia Eagle and South Jersey’s own Corey Clement delivered the keynote address to Rowan University’s Class of 2018 at Wackar Stadium.
Rowan’s Pep Band performed the Eagles fight song, “Fly Eagles Fly,” as Clement took the stage and as he was awarded a Medal of Excellence by Rowan President Dr. Ali Houshmand.
The Super Bowl champ and hometown hero, who is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and Glamssboro High School, addressed the audience with wit and inspiring advice.
“Your path has made you what you are. Your upbringing has made you, you,” Clement said during his speech. “I hope that like me, you’re thankful for the people in your life who have supported you and sacrificed for you so that you can live out your dreams. We earn what we get out of life. Don’t go into your careers afraid of the odds.”
