Bryce Harper Completes Koala Bear Challenge to Raise Funds for Australia

Phillies’ right fielder, Bryce Harper, took to the gym yesterday to help raise money to fight the bushfires consuming Australia.

The six-foot-three athlete completed the Koala Bear Challenge – a fitness fundraising campaign started by Australian athlete James Newbury where participants climb under a weight bench without touching the ground to raise money for those suffering from the Australian bushfires.

So, how does this video help the people in Australia? Newbury has partnered with fitness drink company FITAID, and every time a koala challenge video is posted, the company will donate $5 to wildlife protection services in Australia. Newbury has also included a link in his Instagram profile to a GoFundMe that supports victims of the bushfire.
