“We’ve been able to create a space where women can be passionate and successful in their work while still making time for other important parts of their lives.”

At Mind, Body, and Soul Therapy & Counseling, care starts at the top, with a leadership team that embodies empathy, authenticity and strength. Founded in 2018 by Madeleine DiLeonardo, M.Ed, LPC, NCC, CCATP, Executive Director, the practice has grown from a solo venture into a thriving women-led organization with 19 offices across two New Jersey locations and a team of 22 clinicians with diverse professional credentials, licensure, and clinical specialties to ensure each client can receive the specialized support they need.

“The name of our practice really encompasses who we are and our focus on treating the whole person, holistically,” says DiLeonardo. “We started with a desire to make an impact on our community through the power of mental healthcare.”

That  philosophy remains the cornerstone of the practice’s mission: to help clients nurture their mind, body and soul while becoming the best versions of themselves.

The practice’s female-led executive team includes Clinical Director Nina Kamelia, LCSW, LCADC, CCTP; Director of Operations Samantha Wurst, MA, LPC, CCATP, CMIP; and Director of Staff Development Elizabeth N. Ealer, MA, LPC, LCADC, ACS.

“We’re a women-owned practice, and I have a female leadership team made up of four rock-star licensed clinicians,” says DiLeonardo. “They’re not only clinicians but also executives.”

Together, this executive team brings warmth and expertise to both clients and staff, modeling the balance and authenticity they encourage in therapy.

That balance is a defining feature of the workplace culture.

“We’ve been able to create a space where women can be passionate and successful in their work while still making time for other important parts of their lives – whether that’s family or other personal goals,” she says. “This supportive environment empowers the team to deliver exceptional care, informed by both professional excellence and lived experience.”

DiLeonardo’s leadership philosophy centers on empowerment and authenticity.

“Personally, I think it’s important to challenge conventional norms and promote a multifaceted approach,” she says. “I’m a woman, a mom and a business owner, and I’ve learned that I don’t have to pick just one lane.”

She believes that when women support each other, they create spaces where everyone thrives.

“When I need something done, I look to the women – the nurturers and the hustlers. That’s who our team is.”

That authenticity is also what sets Mind, Body, and Soul apart. “We’re a safe place to land – for anyone and everyone,” she says. “We’re real people. We don’t subscribe to the idea of the therapist as an all-knowing expert who just doles out wisdom.”

Instead, the practice’s clinicians walk alongside their clients, fostering trust and growth through connection. Looking ahead, DiLeonardo says the team remains passionate about growth and impact.

“Each time someone walks through our doors, they’re doing the work it takes to invest in themselves and we are here to help empower that,” she says. “Supporting people in becoming the best versions of themselves doesn’t just impact them – it strengthens the entire community.”
