Pure Hydration by TLC: Optimal wellness at any age

It started because Kelly McCabe wasn’t feeling, well, right.

“I’m getting older, and I’m noticing more and more the physical effect it has on the way I feel,” she says. “I wasn’t on my A-game like I always was. I felt like I was missing something.”

After going to the doctor and diving into her own research, she found IV therapy and started getting infusions.

“Immediately, I felt better,” says McCabe. “My brain fog was gone, my joints didn’t hurt, my mood improved – I felt like myself again in a way I hadn’t in a long time.”

That pushed her to create Pure Hydration by TLC, which launches this month. Pure Hydration by TLC infuses essential vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, amino acids and other nutrients into your system through an IV drip. Introducing these nutrients directly into your bloodstream, she says, can help with hydration, stress, energy levels, immune support, athletic recovery, painful hangovers, aging, pregnancy nausea, menopause, weight loss and more.

The service is an extension of her company TLC HomeCare Services, which provides non-medical care for elderly clients in Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties.

“When people first think of the benefits of IV therapy, they immediately think of hangovers,” she says. “And it’s great for that. The hangover bag is pretty immediate because you’re dehydrated and depleted of your nutrients and vitamins.”

But, she says, it’s so much more.

“IV therapy can benefit everyone, from athletes to the elderly,” she says. “It’s amazing for a number of ailments, from PMS to athletic performance, migraine relief and jet lag.”

Of all the ingredients in the IV bags, only 2 aren’t found naturally in your body – one to combat nausea, another to combat pain. To get the right mixtures and ensure everything is safe, McCabe teamed up with experts in the field, including healthcare consultants and her medical director, family medicine physician Andrew Blank, DO.

“Our primary goal is to provide our clients with the purest ingredients to support their immune systems and ensure optimal health and wellness,” says McCabe.

The service offers 10 drips and 8 booster shots. One of her favorites is the NAD+ infusion, a naturally-occurring coenzyme that slows the aging process, improves brain health, improves mental clarity, boosts energy and can even help your mental health.

“This is the IV celebrities get – they call it the fountain of youth because it makes you feel unbelievable,” she says. “My team and I got the infusion, and we felt euphoric.”

If you don’t know exactly what you need, a Vitamin Concierge can walk you through the process, set up your appointment and answer questions. Then, you can come to the TLC office to get infusions in their brand new 4-person infusion room.

“We have a mixing room to mix vitamins, which is aseptic to ensure everything is completely sterile. Registered nurses administer all vitamins and perform a wellness check beforehand to ensure your body is in a good state for the IV,” McCabe says. “But otherwise, this doesn’t feel like going to the doctor’s office. Comfort is a big deal. I want people to feel pampered because they’re going to walk out feeling amazing.”

Infusions last between 45 minutes to an hour, during which you can watch TV in the infusion center, listen to music or do anything else that makes you feel at home. Setting up your appointment is like calling an Uber, she says – all you have to do is open the app, look through the menu and schedule the appointment.

Or, they can come to you. Pure Hydration delivers IV drips in the comfort of your home, office or hotel room – perfect for a golf outing, bike race, bachelor/bachelorette party or corporate event in South Jersey and beyond.

“There’s something for everyone,” says McCabe. “We’re here to help people feel their best.”
