Olivia E. Mendler, Esq
From the start of her law career, Olivia E. Mendler was in search of one thing: purpose.
“I walk out of here every day knowing I’m helping individuals,” she says, “whether it be a domestic violence matter, helping someone do what’s in the best interest of their children or helping them take care of themselves financially. That’s the reason I love this work. I get to help someone who really needs my help.”
Mendler focuses her practice on all areas of family law, including divorce, child custody and support, spousal support, adoption, domestic violence and cyber harassment. Prior to joining Archer, she was an associate at a national law firm, focusing on family law. Today, she is a zealous advocate who is dedicated to delivering the highest level of legal representation and best possible outcome for her clients. She says a large part of her success is due to her work ethic.
“You can be taught the law, but a strong work ethic can’t be taught. You either have it or you don’t,” Mendler says. “This is a high-paced environment, and you have to keep up. If you don’t have the work ethic and the stamina, it’s going to be nearly impossible.”
“You also need patience and compassion for your clients to be able to guide them,” she continues, “You need to empathize with their situation. Some people just can’t do that. We are working with highly sensitive matters, at a highly sensitive time, so you have to be ready. There are domestic violence cases that keep me up at night, but I know I can help. So I’m ready to help.”
Mendler is a member of the NJ State Bar Association – Young Lawyer’s Division and this year, she will serve as Co-chair of DEI for the National Associate of Women Business Owners, South Jersey Chapter.
“At the end of the day,” Mendler adds, “I’m here to get clients a result that’s in their best interest, so they’re able to move their life forward. That’s always my goal.”
