There’s a reason Michael D. Fioretti’s practice is 100% dedicated to Family Law Mediation: “I was a family law litigator in 2 states and 14 counties. Then I became a Supreme Court-approved mediator in 2009,” he says. “I soon discovered I had this innate ability to put clients at ease during troubled times. My mediation practice grew rapidly, so I transitioned from a family law practice to focus full time on mediation.”

The Vietnam veteran has been an attorney for 52 years. “All of my life experiences and all of my personal relationships help me as a mediator. I get to know my clients and they know they can trust me,” he says. “The combination of my expertise and personality is why my settlement rate is well over 90%.”  

That success rate has benefitted his clients in many ways. “Divorce has a far-reaching impact on the parties and the family. Mediation helps you find a resolution that works for everyone,” he says.

Last year, Michael had a life-threatening medical crisis but has since made a full recovery. “I’m so grateful to the colleagues and friends who supported me during that time. It was a challenge,” he says, “but I’m back – because I love what I do!”
