2024 South Jersey’s FACE of Allergy & Asthma Care

Keeping you comfortable, no matter the season

Gregory Toci, DO and Eugene Gatti, MD

“It’s very common for patients to see us when they’re constantly taking over-the-counter medications, and it’s simply not working for them.”

Imagine a life where sneezing, wheezing, itching and congestion are distant memories.  It’s possible with the proper care, and no one knows that better than the medical professionals at Advocare Allergy & Asthma. Whether it’s allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, atopic dermatitis (eczema), bee sting allergies, food allergies or even complex cases of immunodeficiency and recurrent infections, the dedicated team of Eugene A. Gatti, MD; Gregory Toci, DO; Amandeep Sandhu, MD and Rebecca Lynn Kelly, APN has the tools and expertise to help you breathe easier and live better.

“We see patients of all ages – from infants to seniors – because allergies and asthma don’t discriminate,” says Dr. Gatti, vice president of the practice. “We often treat families, because these traits are passed on from parents to children.”

Care often begins with a frank conversation between provider and patient. “It’s very common for patients to see us when they’re constantly taking over-the-counter medications, and it’s simply not working for them,” says Dr. Gatti. “By asking the right questions and listening closely to our patients, we can pinpoint the underlying causes of symptoms.”

Using skin testing and advanced laboratory diagnostics, the team identifies specific triggers like food, pollen, dust, mold and pet allergies, as well as immunodeficiencies that might be compromising patient health. Then they develop a personalized plan. The practice offers a range of treatments, including allergy injections and the latest biological medications, which have revolutionized the management of severe asthma, food allergies and eczema.

“These innovations help reduce dependence on medications over time, potentially leading to long-term remission,” says Dr. Gatti. “They’ve been a game changer for management of our most severe cases.”

Gatti and the team also go a step further, educating patients about how to manage external factors, from containing pet dander and eliminating mold inside to preparing for allergy seasons. “We can help student athletes get ready for the playing field by starting their medications before the season begins,” he explains.

With three locations, a team of specialists, and offices open six days a week, the practice prides itself on being available. Patients can reach providers after hours by phone for emergencies and can often schedule a same-day appointment to reduce the need to go to urgent care or the ER.

“Seeing the dramatic improvement in our patients is what drives us,” says Dr. Gatti. “Our goal is to help them find the relief they need in order to live life to the fullest.”
