A lifelong New Jersey resident, Kathleen P. Stockton has been a fierce – and compassionate – advocate for her clients for over 20 years. After becoming partner at a large firm, she opened her solo practice 6 years ago, and has tirelessly continued to help countless clients resolve issues of family law. 

“I have the big-firm history, experience and knowledge with the benefit of more personal service,” Stockton says. “I have control to make decisions I feel are in my clients’ best interests. This also helps to keep costs down.” 

Stockton handles any matter involving family law: divorce, alimony, pre-nuptial agreements, domestic violence, child support, adoption and custody. She has represented numerous high-asset divorce clients, including those with multi-million-dollar business interests, and she is committed to keeping all divorce matters out of trial, working to negotiate fair settlements for both parties.

Certified by the N.J. Supreme Court as a Matrimonial Law Attorney, Stockton advises clients with respect and resolve. “So many clients say they feel better after we’ve talked about their case,” she says. “I help them understand short- and long-term goals and what we can do to get there. I want people to feel comfortable and good about their decisions.”
