Chartwell Gardens in Marlton is a unique outdoor venue for all occasions – from private parties to company retreats, non-profit events to weddings and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs. “We provide a first-class facility with incredible catering, built-in entertainment and a beautiful setting,” says Chartwell Gardens Manager Sharon Damiano. “When you host your event here, you have your own private area. You also have the availability of 6 pools and a splash park, game courts and acres of nature trails. Now we have full catering for all occasions.”
The 15-acre property is a natural outgrowth of the recreational center many consider an oasis. Chartwell Gardens has long been a popular place to host summer events – including birthdays and graduation parties. With the addition of pickle ball courts, a rustic pavilion and accommodations for larger tents should weather be a concern, Chartwell Gardens has the expanded capacity and versatility for get-togethers from the spring well into the fall.
“We formed an exciting partnership with the catering company, Just Between Friends, and their menus are absolutely fantastic,” says Damiano. “We now can offer a full menu from Luau-themed foods, apps and stations to wedding catering.”
What makes Chartwell Gardens so unique is the ability to tailor space for different needs – under the sun or the stars, she says. Whatever the event, Chartwell Gardens planners can pull it off seamlessly. No group is too big or too small – tents, picnic tables and canopies can be set up in any figuration – and all party packages include unrestricted access to the entertainment complex. For those seeking serenity for a business retreat, lush green grass, thousands of flowers, fluttering butterflies and nature trails set the zenlike scene.
For high-energy parties, including family reunions, church gatherings and birthday celebrations, the possibilities include use of all the pools and water slides as well as use of most sports courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes and more. The splash park, which features dumping buckets, snorting and spraying dragons, and underground geysers, offers an extra party bonus. Fun party enhancements also include use of the Chartwell Express Train, a moon bounce, obstacle course, pickleball courts, mascots, a margarita machine and more.
Wedding parties have wonderful options as well, from cocktail chic to casual. The new pavilion can be a perfect setting for a relaxed and simple ceremony and reception while a white canopied pergola provides a more elegant feel. And finding a spot for an Instagrammable wedding photo is the easy part, says Damiano, as there’s so many beautiful areas to choose from.
“We consider ourselves fortunate to be in the good times business, says Damiano. “When the flowers are in full bloom and with the butterflies, these gardens really are an oasis.”
