Abbe Lang

Her Turn

At 40,  Abbe Lang’s life took an unexpected twist. She experienced a significant life change that might deter others, but not her. Instead, Lang reinvented herself and built a new path forward. Now she helps others do the same, creating clarity, confidence and meaningful change through private coaching.

“I decided this wasn’t going to destroy me,” she says.

Lang turned inward, studying health, mindset and homeopathy to understand how women heal – physically and emotionally. She built a thriving coaching practice, helping others find the resilience and confidence she had fought to reclaim herself, in business and in their personal lives.

Then life surprised her again. She met Joe, 14 years younger, and the connection was instant.

“He’s truly my partner in every sense,” she says of her now husband. “We built 2 successful businesses together, and he still treats me like I’m the most important person in the world. He’ll text, ‘You’re gorgeous,’ ‘You’re amazing. You’re my whole world.’ multiple times a day even when I’m at my worst. That’s true love.”

Lang credits much of that happiness to mindset – learning to let go of fear and choose possibility. “We’re the ones who deflect greatness for ourselves,” she says. “We block our best relationships, our best health, our own success. The universe wants us to have it all. We just have to stop getting in our own way.”

Earlier this year, after joining 4PC, an international collective of top coaches, Lang felt ready for her next challenge. “Being around people operating at that level made me want to have a greater reach and bigger impact on more women,” she says. “I’ve done one-on-one coaching for years, but I wanted to create something accessible, where any woman could start changing her life.”

That’s how Her Turn began.

Launched this summer as a free private online community, Her Turn is for women in midlife who are ready to reclaim their health, energy and power. What started as a few friends sharing experiences has grown to 900 members.

“It’s not a complaint group,” Lang says. “It’s about learning, connecting and implementing.”

Members talk openly about hormonal changes, fatigue, stress and relationships – and they’re learning to take charge and advocate for themselves. “They learn what blood work to ask for,” she says. “They’re walking into their doctor’s office saying, ‘Don’t gaslight me, don’t put me on antidepressants or sleeping pills. I’m concerned about balancing my hormones.’ Women are finding their voices again.”

Lang, 60, leads by example. “I’ve been on HRT for at least 10 years,” she says. “My body is the same exact body I was when I got married the first time. I walk the walk, I talk the talk. I don’t want women to fall apart over 40. I want them to feel empowered.”

Her approach, which she calls “personal training for the mind,” helps women stop replaying old stories and start creating new ones. “When you change your mindset,” she says, “everything else starts to follow.”

Already, women in Her Turn are reporting real change – new energy, better relationships, renewed self-worth and joy. “One woman told me she finally looked in the mirror and liked what she saw again,” Lang says. “That’s what this is about. Helping women take up space again in their health, in their relationships, in their lives.”

“I want women to stop apologizing for wanting more,” she adds. “It’s your turn to feel strong, healthy and alive.”
