A Focus on Exceptional Eye Care

Richard Kresloff, MD and Michael Kresloff, MD

“Our field is very technological and constantly evolving. We stay at the forefront, whether it’s a new eye screening innovation or laser cataract surgery to treat astigmatism.”

In a world that most of us navigate by sight, healthy vision is critically important. No one knows that better than the team at Kresloff Eye Associates, who work tirelessly to ensure that everyone – from toddlers to seniors – can see their world clearly. Since 1978, when Richard Kresloff, MD, founded the practice, the focus has been on providing exceptional medical care with compassion. Today his son, Michael Kresloff, MD, an accomplished eye surgeon and board-certified ophthalmologist, works alongside his father to continue this legacy with a comprehensive team that offers sight-saving ophthalmology, vision-correcting services and advanced cataract and refractive surgery – all delivered with kind, caring and experienced hands from physicians who treat their patients like family.

“With ophthalmology, you see patients from early childhood into their senior years, so you really get to know them,” says Dr. Michael Kresloff. “I really enjoy the relationships with our patients who, over the years, become our extended family.”

Dr. Kresloff earned his MD from UMDNJ School of Medicine and specialized in ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania’s Scheie Eye Institute. He completed a surgical fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. His father graduated from the Medical School of the University of Pennsylvania and the Scheie Eye Institute. The practice also includes four additional doctors, all who enhance the culture at Kresloff Eye Assocates, providing state-of-the-art care while also treating patients like family.

At Kresloff Eye Associates, innovation is a guiding principle. “Our field is very technological and constantly evolving,” Dr. Kresloff explains. “We stay at the forefront, whether it’s a new eye screening innovation or laser cataract surgery to treat astigmatism.”

As part of any comprehensive eye exam, doctors look for conditions that can impair vision, such as glaucoma, cataracts, corneal ulcers, diabetic eye disease and macular degeneration. They also screen for early indicators of chronic health issues that can show up in the eyes.

Patient comfort is a priority at every visit. “Communication is key,” says Dr. Kresloff. “With each patient, I will always explain what I’m going to do. Sometimes people will say, ‘I can’t have too many drops’ or ‘I don’t want to be dilated.’ We understand and respect that, so we will work within their comfort level. We take our time with each patient, answering their questions and addressing their concerns. That’s the experience I’d want, and it’s what we strive to deliver every single time.”
