Jon Dorenbos’ magical run on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” came to an end Wednesday night.
The Eagles long snapper finished third in the talent show’s season finale, behind winner 12-year-old winner Grace VanderWaal, a singer and ukulele player, and The Clairvoyants, a mind-reading pair of magicians.
Dorenbos became a fan-favorite with his sleight of hand, magic tricks and easygoing manner with the judges and audience. When he was revealed as the third-place finisher, he thanked those who voted for him and congratulated the two acts he placed behind. He took to Twitter to thank fans as well:
I had a great time. Thank you everyone for supporting, enjoying and voting. And thank you to whoever made this… https://t.co/U8afX6atx7

The Eagles veteran made plenty of fans along the way, and they showed their support as well:
STUNNED! I love you @jondorenbos. I love your magic. Please don't disappear on us. #AGTFinale

How Jon Dorenbos didn't win America's Got Talent is a mystery. We all know he was the best. Couldn't be more proud of our Eagle!

Dorenbos had one more magic trick up his sleeve on Wednesday night’s finale, which he performed with the help of Paula Abdul:

Dorenbos, of course, will return to his day job with the Eagles (they play against the Bears in Chicago on Monday night), but we’re sure there’s more magic in his future.
