Fire Burns Through 200 Acres of South Jersey Forest

A major forest fire that started last night has burned approximately 200 acres of Wharton State Forest in Camden County.

The New Jersey Forest Fire Service says the fire was reported at 1:30 am, and the cause is unknown at this point. No buildings in the area are in danger.
