Camden City is offering its residents a free rain barrel in exchange for attending a Rain Barrel Meeting.

Meeting attendees will learn about the new rain barrel program and have the opportunity to sign up for their own free rain barrel (including free installation). The presentation will last one hour with time for questions, and refreshments will be provided.

When installed next to a home, rain barrels collect runoff water from the roof which can be used to water flowers and gardens in an effort to lower energy bills and conserve water.

The rain barrel program is presented in partnership with Camden County Municipal Utilities Authority, the Camden SMART Initiative, Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and Camden City.

The next meeting is on August 1. For more information or to register, call Rosemary at 215-988-8767 or fill out the online form.
