Spring is in the air, and that means it’s time to sip some South Jersey wine while enjoying beautiful weather and live music. We’ve rounded up the wine events you won’t want to miss.


Cook-Off with “Kick in the Glass”

April 7
Wagonhouse Winery
1401 Route 45, Swedesboro
You be the judge at this South Jersey cook-off. Spend the night enjoying a glass of wine and dining on the culinary creations from winery staff, then pick your favorite. The event runs from 5 to 8 pm, and tickets cost $15.


Annual Easter Egg Hunt

April 16
Sharrott Winery
370 South Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton
Kids 10 and under can hunt for Easter eggs at the vineyard while the older kids (21 and over) taste wines on the patio. The egg hunt starts at 11:30 am, and live music from The Jumper Duo will be on the patio from 1 to 4 pm. Entrance is free, and tastings cost $8 per person.


Waretown Spring Wine Festival

April 22 & 23
Waretown Recreation and Lake Area
182 Wells Mill Road, Waretown
Sip South Jersey wines from a prime lakeside spot during the Waretown Spring Wine Festival. Live entertainment, crafters, food vendors and a children’s play area will also be featured. The event will run from noon to 5 pm at the Waretown Recreation and Lake Area on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the gate, and all proceeds benefit Sylvia’s Children.


Spring Fling

April 29
Natali Vineyards
221 North Delsea Drive, Cape May Court House
Kick off winery season at Natali Vineyard’s 6th annual Spring Fling Event. Pair a wine tasting, wine by the glass or bottle, sangria or wine slushies with lunch – you can try one of the food vendors or pack a picnic lunch. Live entertainment will be provided and a vineyard tour will be hosted at 2 pm. The free event runs from 1 to 6 pm.


Cinco De Mayo Festival

May 5
Bellview Winery
150 Atlantic Street, Landisville
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Mexican cuisine and festive sangria at Bellview Winery’s Cinco do Mayo festival. Dance the night away with live music as you sip on a carafe of sangria. Admission is free; carafes cost $15 each and wine tastings cost $5.


Riverview Beach Park Wine Festival

May 20 & 21
Riverview Beach Park
9 North Broadway, Pennsville
Spend the day browsing and enjoying South Jersey wines, food trucks and vendors. Riverview Beach Park Wine Festival will feature a dozen wineries, as well as crafters with wine-related items, from noon to 5 pm on Saturday and Sunday.


Winos for Rhinos

May 27
Jessie Creek Winery
1 North Delsea Drive, Cape May Court House
Raise money for animals the best way you know how – with wine. Tickets include a glass of wine, hors d’oeuvres, games, live music and live animal encounters from 2 to 6 pm. Plus, all proceeds benefit Bowling for Rhinos. Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door.


Appel Farm Music & Wine Festival

June 4
Appel Farm
457 Shirley Road, Elmer
Keep the fun going all night long at Appel Farm Music & Wine Festival. After you enjoy an afternoon of live music, wine samples from regional vineyards, local shopping and food trucks, camp out or stay in a group cabin for a night of bonfires, s’mores and more live music with fellow attendees. The festivities start again with a South Jersey Cycling Tour on Sunday morning followed by more wine, food and vendors. The festival starts at 3 pm on Saturday and runs from noon to 5 pm on Sunday. Ticket prices are TBA, so check the website.


Sharrott Winery Wine & Music Festival

June 3-4
Sharrott Winery
370 South Egg Harbor Road, Hammonton
Taste more than 100 local wines while you listen to live music, dig into dishes from food trucks and browse crafters. Advanced tickets are available until May 28 and cost $15 ($12 for Club Members). They also include a souvenir glass and wine tasting. Tickets at the gate cost $20 ($15 for Club Members).
