We’re not saying boardwalk snacks are the best part of a trip down the Shore (there’s the beach, rides, time with the family). But it’s pretty high up on the list. Check out some must-have treats for your next trip.
Johnson’s Popcorn
Pop on over (see what we did there?) to one of Johnson’s Popcorn’s 3 locations along the boardwalk for your choice of sweet and salty, salty and savory or classic popcorn snacks. Or you can go to all 3!
Salt Water Taffy
If you go down the Shore and don’t come back with salt water taffy, did you really go down the Shore? The flavors are endless with this chewy classic, and so are the places where you can pick up your favorites. Some of our go-to spots for the treat are Shriver’s in Ocean City and The Original Fudge Kitchen in Wildwood.
Fries
It sounds simple, but there’s something extra special about walking down the boardwalk with some classic french fries. Some of our favorite stops for these salty snacks are Curley’s Fries on the Wildwood boardwalk and JiLLy’s French Fry Factory on the Ocean City boardwalk.
Kohr Bros.
Cool off after a day on the sand with vanilla and chocolate twist or orange creamsicle soft serve in a waffle cone or sugar cone, topped with sprinkles of course. Stop by one of the many locations along the Ocean City and Wildwood boardwalks.
Fudge
Indulge your sweet tooth with a boardwalk classic. Keep it simple with flavors like chocolate, peanut butter or vanilla and then shake things up with some adventurous flavors that incorporate everything from marshmallows to sea salt. Some places to try are The Original Fudge Kitchen in Wildwood, Steel’s Fudge Inc. in Ocean City and George’s Candies in Ocean City.
Crabfries
Grab a bucket of Chickie’s and Pete’s famous Crabfries – with a side of cheese sauce – to split with the family. Although the special mix of spices might have you keeping the bucket to yourself. Chickie’s & Pete’s has locations in Wildwood, Ocean City and Atlantic City.
Donuts
Start your morning with a hot donut that you get to build yourself at Fractured Prune on Ocean City’s boardwalk. Choose from 19 glazes and 13 toppings to make a unique flavor combination that’s totally you.
