7 places to try if you’re gluten free

Being gluten free used to make going out for a delicious meal difficult. Luckily, restaurants have caught up to the dietary restriction and South Jersey has plenty of tasty options for our gluten free diners. Just check out this list!

*The locations on this list do not necessarily guarantee no cross-contamination. Remember to ask kitchens about possible cross-contamination if you have an allergy.

Harvest Seasonal Grill

Moorestown

This farm-to-table favorite offers more gluten-free meals than just a salad (although they do have some awesome salad choices). And the best part? The menu changes seasonally, which means this month you can try the braised beef and mushroom flatbread and then try something else come July.

Tre Famiglia

Haddonfield

A whole menu of gluten free pastas – we’ve hit the jackpot. Tre Famiglia has a separate menu for its gluten free diners, so you don’t have to miss out on the classic Italian flavors that make this spot a go-to for cozy Italian dinners.

A&A Soft Pretzels

Oaklyn

SJ Mag Publisher Marianne Aleardi stands by the best snack: a soft pretzel and a diet coke. So you know we had to include the one gluten free soft pretzel shop on this list. (She also stands by A&A’s GF pretzels.) But it’s not just pretzels, they also offer pretzel sandwiches. Check out the pork roll and cheese.

GF Sweeties

Haddon Township

Pies and cookies and cupcakes…oh my! Don’t skimp on your sweet tooth with endless choices at GF Sweeties. You can either visit their retail store to browse and take home a delectable sweet treat or order online for shipping to wherever you call home.

goodbeet

Haddon Township

With a menu entirely plant-based, gluten free and dairy free, goodbeet takes its philosophy that food is medicine to heart. With a new menu announced last month, the Haddon Township restaurant offers favorites like coconut bacon, tacos, sandwiches, soft serve, baked goods and more. The possibilities are endless, and they even offer a meal prep program.

Sparrow’s

Haddonfield

Elevate snack time with gluten free and peanut free offerings including loaded potato chips, pretzoli (yes, a pizza stuffed in a pretzel), toaster pastries, lemon loads, mini donuts, mini corn dogs and pretzel dippers. It’s like combining a carnival, a hometown bakery and a gluten free kitchen all in one easy location.

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant

Maple Shade & Voorhees

Iron Hill’s elevated bar food menu also features plenty of gluten free options like tomato and basil pesto burrata, a voodoo chicken pizza, OMG BLT sandwich and the pub burger. And if you have a gluten allergy, you can check the allergen menu on the website to see what foods you can and cannot order.
