5 South Jersey Ice Cream Places to try this Spring

As the days grow warmer and summer approaches, there’s one sweet treat that never fails to bring joy: ice cream. Check out some of our go-to South Jersey spots to grab a scoop – or several.

Dá’Villas Crème & Cookies

Merchantville

Any way you want your ice cream, Dá’Villas will deliver. If you’re looking to elevate your ice cream experience, try the signature skillet – a hot chocolate chip cookie topped with your favorite flavor of ice cream (there’s also a mini version). Make your own ice cream cookie sandwich. Order any flavor in a waffle cone – you can even have it dipped in chocolate or caramel if you want. And if those aren’t enough options to choose from, there are plenty of toppings to finish off your creation.

The Pop Shop

Collingswood

You know those sundaes we dreamed about as kids? The ones overflowing with chocolate fudge, crazy toppings and plenty of whipped cream. Well, they found a home at The Pop Shop, and we’re pretty sure it’s time to eat our way through the menu. But we can’t decide – do we start with the Breakfast in Bed, with literal belgian waffles, coffee ice cream and bacon or try the Don’t Be Salty, with salted caramel pretzel ice cream, hot fudge and sea salt?

Lickety Splitz

Maple Shade

Lickety Splitz’s ice creams come with a decision: sweet or sinful. Choose from the sweet flavors for a traditional ice cream experience, though in no way boring – did someone order the unicorn cotton candy? Or opt for a sinful experience with one of the bar’s 8 alcohol-infused flavors. Think Henny Vanilla or Strawberry Daiquiri. And by the way, when you’re finished with your ice cream, you can grab some bowling shoes and fit in a friendly game.

Silver Diner

Cherry Hill

Nothing beats an old school milkshake at a classic diner – except for maybe an out of this world shake at a classic diner. If you’re looking for the traditional flavors, Silver Diner has got you covered. But they also offer some shake ups (pun intended) on those familiar flavors, like the campfire shake with graham crackers and marshmallows or the peppermint patty with oreo and mint.

Maple Shade Custard Stand

Maple Shade

Come for the delicious custard, stay for the immaculate vibes. This combination drive-in, walk-up custard stand will have you wishing summer nights lasted a little longer. Try a classic cup of your favorite custard flavor or go a little wild with a banana split or one of the stand’s signature sundae creations.
