Take The (Polar) Plunge in South Jersey

Make a splash for a good cause – if you can stand the cold! – during one of the Polar Bear Plunges happening at the Shore this winter.

Atlantic City

Channel your inner polar bear for Atlantic City’s annual plunge on Jan. 1. The Atlantic City Polar Bears will host the plunge featuring pre- and post-plunge parties with live DJs, giveaways and menu discounts at Landshark Bar & Grill. Registration begins at 10:30 am (no wet suits are allowed). For more information, visit the website.

Ocean City

Visit Ocean City for its first day at the beach celebration – including a jump in the frigid ocean. Ring in the New Year on Jan. 1 with the first dip beginning at 2 pm at the Music Pier on the Boardwalk. For more information, visit the website.

Head down to Wildwood for a full lineup of events before the plunge on Jan 13. Start with the “Beef n’ Brr” on Friday, followed by the icy dip on Saturday. Plus, there are some extra perks for raising funds for Special Olympics New Jersey. For more information, visit the website.

Sea Isle City

Gather your pals and dress up for an afternoon of chilly fun on Feb. 17. The day kicks off with a costume contest, followed by the plunge at 2 pm. Afterward, head to LaCosta to enjoy drinks, entertainment and vendors to benefit the city’s Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization and its 2018 events. To register, call 609-263-3611.

Stone Harbor

Don’t miss the Shiiiver Polar Plunge over St. Patrick’s Day weekend (March 16-17). Pre-party activities will kick off at the Yacht Club of Stone Harbor on Friday night, with the parade to the beach and Shiiiver Saturday taking place from 11 am to 1 pm. Take the plunge to help the Stone Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Friend in Need and Family Promise of Cape May County. For more information, visit the website.
