Family fun this weekend – For Free

Lucky for us – and our wallets – South Jersey is teeming with free places to keep your kids busy and happy all day long. Here are just a few of the places to take the kids and save some money.


Cape May County Park & Zoo

Spend the day with wildlife for no cost at Cape May County Park & Zoo. See cheetahs, zebras, bears, tigers and so much more!


Wildwood Beaches

Wilwood’s five-mile beach is the perfect place to take the kids for some free fun. Bring toys, boogie boards and even your furry friend to enjoy the dog park located right on the beach.


Batsto Village

31 Batsto Road, Hammonton
Take a trip back in time at this historical village in Wharton State Forest. Batsto Village was a functioning village from the 1700s to the mid-1900s. Today, you can still visit the small town and see what it was like so many years ago.


Heritage Glass Museum

25 East High Street, Glassboro
The artwork on display at the Heritage Glass Museum is more than just paintings and sculptures. The glassworks at this museum are colorful, intricate and simply beautiful. Your kids will have a blast exploring the shelves, each filled with iridescent works of art.


Millville Army Airfield Museum

After the Millville Airport served as a defense airport to the U.S. military, it was returned to the state and now serves as an educational destination. Kids can learn all about military aviation, from code messengers to female pilots.


Egg Harbor Township Arboretum & Nature Center

The Egg Harbor Townsihp Arboretum is a great way to take in the natural beauty of South Jersey. You’ll see flowers, butterflies, birds and more!


Brigantine Marine Mammal Stranding Center

The Marine Mammal Stranding Center is New Jersey’s only rescue agency for stranded beach animals. This makes it the go-to spot for everything your child wants to know about sea creatures –– and they might get to meet some adorable new friends!
