5 Things to Do in South Jersey This Weekend: October 26

History Comes Alive

Watch the history of Berlin come alive as re-enactors present stories, photos and artifacts from the town at Long-A-Coming station. The event runs from 1 to 4 pm. A $5 donation is requested for everyone over the age of 12. For more information, visit the website.


Monster Ball

Put on your best zombie look to join the zombie walk, or stop by Historic Smithville in your normal clothes to watch, visit vendors and make up artists and enjoy other spooky activities. The village’s annual monster ball runs from 10 am to 6:30 pm. For more information, visit the website.


Haunted Lighthouse Tours

Search for ghosts in the Absecon Lighthouse with some help from the experts. The New Jersey Researchers of Paranormal Evidence will be on-site for tours at 6 and 7 pm. Tickets cost $20 and reservations are required. Plus, the organization will be conducting a live ghost investigation at 8 pm. Tickets for the investigation cost $45. Tattoos for a Claws

Stop by 168 Tattoo this weekend to support Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge and get a unique wildlife tattoo. For an $80 donation, you can choose from more than a dozen designs of animals found at the refuge (you can also make an appointment to come back for a customized design with your donation). Oy Vey 5K

October 27
Lace up your sneaks and take in scenic Cherry Hill while supporting the Katz JCC. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three males and female runners. Registration costs $30. The race begins at 9 am. For more information, visit the website.
