Mt. Laurel Native to Compete in 2022 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
14-year-old Isabeau Levito is going for gold.

At 14, Isabeau Levito is too young to compete in the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. But the figure skater’s career is definitely taking off. After winning the bronze medal in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Nashville in January, Isabeau, who lives in Mt. Holly and trains at the Igloo Ice Rink in Mt. Laurel (she trains 3 hours a day), earned a spot on the U.S. team for the 2022 World Junior Figure Skating Championships taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria this month.

The young athlete, who was inspired to take up skating by the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, was the junior national champion last year. This season, she’s been racking up awards, including a gold medal at the Junior Grand Prix competition in France. So the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy? We’ll be watching.
