Opening Day Collingswood Farmers Market

It’s opening day for the 20th season of the Collingswood Farmer’s Market. Bancroft Community Day

Join Bancroft for a day of fun and entertainment for the Autism and Special Needs Community. All ages are welcome to take part in activities that include music, art, interactive games, animals, food and more. Are your little ones adventure seekers? Spring Dream Horse Show

May 3 – 5 | DREAM Park

The Eastern Reining Horse Association (EPRHA), one of the oldest and largest national reining associations in the country, is hosting its spring performance challenge at DREAM Park this weekend. Burlington County Food Truck and Craft Fair

May 4 (3 pm – 8 pm) | Columbus

Expand your pallet at the First Annual Food Truck and Craft Beer Festival this Saturday at the Burlington County Fairgrounds. Besides gourmet food trucks, the afternoon will feature craft beer from local breweries, wine from local vineyards, live bands, a Kentucky Derby viewing area and more. Down & Derby Wine Festival

May 4 (3 pm – 7 pm) | Cooper River Park

Dress up in your best Kentucky Derby outfit, and prepare to sample delicious wines from some of South Jersey’s leading vineyards. The festival features a red carpet, where guests can showcase their derby style. Learn how to bet on horses like a pro while enjoying live music, podcasts, and fun games.

 

Camden County Trails Pop-up Event

May 5 (9:30 am – 1:00 pm) | Haddon Heights

Come out to a Trails Pop-Up at the Haddon Heights Farmers Market. Bring your bike and take part in a Bike Safety Rodeo, which teaches the rules of the road in a fun obstacle course. If bike riding isn’t your thing, just bring your kids and let them enjoy the face painting and bounce houses while snacking on treats from food trucks. This event is free and there is something fun for the entire family.

 

Chainsaw Carving Competition 

May 4 and 5 (11 am – 5 pm) | Tuckerton

Watch chainsaw carvers show off their skills all weekend long at this Tuckerton Seaport competition. Watch live carve demos, enjoy food trucks and listen to music. Admission for the festival is $10, or free for Seaport members and kids 5 and under. The event runs from 11 am to 5 pm both days.  For more information, click here 

 

Introducing the Emanation Art Exhibit

May 4 and 5 (10 am – 5 pm) | WheatonArts Center

The Emanation 2019 exhibit is now on display in the Museum of American Glass at WheatonArts. It’s the third exhibition featuring works created by artists who utilized the resources and facilities at WheatonArts. The artwork has an emphasis on each artist’s creative process. “Aida” 

May 4 and 5 | Pitman

Head to the theater for a night of classics from Elton John and Tim Rice as The Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents “Aida.” Tickets cost $35. Showtimes are 8 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 pm on Sundays, with a 7 pm performance on May 12. For more information, click here 

 

The Ritz Presents Big Fish

May 4 (8:00 pm) and May 5 (2:00 pm) | Ritz Theater

Big Fish has been on the big-screen, Broadway, and is now presented by the Ritz in South Jersey. Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish tells the story of a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest.
