Fun fact: Cinco de Mayo marks the day Mexico was victorious over France in the 1862 Battle of Puebla. Here are some ways for you to celebrate with your family and friends.

The Camden, Burlington, and Gloucester county library systems have a wide variety of incredible children’s and adult literature focused on the subject. Get ready to have some fun at this free Cinco de Mayo fiesta in downtown Bridgeton. Entertainment will include live dancers and performances from several talented bands. Your children will have a blast watching dancing horses, getting their faces painted, and jumping around in bounce houses. #3. Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Sample some of the most delicious Mexican food in the tri-state area at this Cinco De Mayo celebration in Hammonton. Award-winning restaurants, eateries and food trucks will be joining this new event to ensure your food cravings are satisfied.

As a part of the Becoming American discussion series, the Camden County Library System will screen a documentary titled, Between Two Worlds: Identity & Acculturation on May 4th. #5: Get Some Food and Drinks at the Tortilla Press Cantina

Visit the Tortilla Press Cantina for a Cinco de Mayo fiesta. The restaurant will have a live DJ along with a special menu and discounts on beer and cocktails. (The beer and cocktail discounts are on first come first served basis, so make sure you get there early.)
