For Angela Rubino Hines, leading Rubino Service Company is much more than just a job – it’s also ensuring that her father’s legacy lives on.

“My father started the business 40 years ago, and I saw how hard he worked to grow it. I started answering the phones and scheduling calls for him back when I was in sixth or seventh grade,” says Hines. “I had always thought about eventually taking over the business, but when he got very ill, I was thrown into the fire. From that point on, it was up to me to ensure that the company maintained its good name and put forth quality work.”

Hines assumed ownership in 2005 and through her hard work and determination, Rubino Service Company has continued to grow. Hines now also serves as the president of the New Jersey Air Conditioning Contractors of America, where she works to educate fellow contractors and make sure her company remains at the forefront of HVAC regulations and technology.

Under Hines’ leadership, Rubino Service Company has expanded from a centrally focused heating and air conditioning contractor to also providing high-quality plumbing and electrical services, as well as home energy audits.

“We have become a one-stop shop for home owners. Our whole-home approach ensures our customers’ homes are up-to-date with the best heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical systems. We also make sure we are providing the highest efficiency standards,” says Hines.

Though the scope of Rubino Service Company’s services has expanded, Hines says the business’ goal of providing high-quality work by expert technicians and outstanding customer service has never wavered.

“We treat all of our customers like family. We aim to keep them informed about the choices available to them, just like we would our own family members,” says Hines. “Our job isn’t complete until our customers are 100 percent satisfied with the work we’ve performed.”
