You Can Help A South Jersey School Nurse Be Named the Best School Nurse in America

After being credited with saving a student’s life, Zane North Elementary School’s Patti Butler is a finalist in the America’s Greatest School Nurse contest.

In September, Butler told Collingswood mom Nicole Defeo Campbell to take her son to a doctor when she noticed his coloring was off. The family then found out that the boy had leukemia – the discoloring had been a sign of low oxygen levels in his blood.

Now, Butler is one of 50 nominees (one from each state) up for the title of Best Nurse in America, and you can help her win by casting a vote here. If she wins the title, she also wins a free summer vacation.

Voting is open until April 16, and results will be announced on May 5.
