The latest report from Bloomberg Markets provides proof that New Jersey has a great mix of education, research and innovation. The Bloomberg Us Innovation Index ranks New Jersey as the number four state for innovation in the United States,

Trailing only Massachusetts, California and Washington, New Jersey scored 80 points in the publication’s evaluation. The index scored each of the 50 states on a 0-100 scale across six equally weighted metrics: research and development intensity; productivity; high-tech density; concentration of sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) employment; science and engineering degree holders; and patent activity.

The score ranked New Jersey far above neighboring Pennsylvania (#24) and New York (#18), securing fourth place for a second year.
