Governors, elected officials, friends and families visited Three Cooper Plaza in Camden on Wednesday for the unveiling ceremony of Sheridan Pavilion, named in honor of the late John and Joyce Sheridan.

Governor Chris Christie, former governors Tom Kean, James Floris, Don DiFrancesco, Jim McGreevey and Jon Corzine were among the attendees. George E. Norcross III, chairman of the Board of Trustees of Cooper University Health Care, also attended and spoke of John Sheridan’s time as the former CEO and president of Cooper Health System.

“John Sheridan left a lasting legacy at Cooper University Health Care and in Camden, a city he worked tirelessly to improve,” Norcross said. “John had great vision and he was the energy behind so many initiatives that have made Cooper the success it is today.”
