When it comes to being healthy, it turns out the Shore is the way to go. The Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC), a program from the New Jersey Health Care Quality Institute, named Stone Harbor the 2016 Healthy Town Winner.

The Shore town was awarded the distinction for programs like weekly walks, free fitness center passes for MWC participants to become familiar with gym equipment and healthy restaurant specials. Restaurants in the area provided weekly healthy specials and listed nutritional content.
