Summer is right around the corner, and we’re getting ready for sun-soaked days of festivals and fun. Check out the festivals happening now to make the wait a little more bearable.

 

Wildwoods International Kite Festival

The largest kite festival in North America is right here on the coast of South Jersey. From May 26 to 29, you can see kites of all shapes and sizes at Wildwoods International Kite Festival – there’s even an illuminated kite event on Friday night. The free weekend is packed with stunts, workshops and competitions at the Wildwoods Convention Center and kicks off at noon with the “Unlocking of the Ocean” ceremony on Friday. Blueberry Festival

Whitesbog Village invites families to celebrate the blueberry at its 34th Annual Blueberry Festival. The nearly 170-year-old farm has been growing the berry since the beginning of the 20th century and uses the weekend to celebrate it with crafters, artists and food vendors. Fit & Fun Festival

Feeling fit is more fun when you’re with the whole family – and Camden Children’s Garden can help make that happen. During the Fit & Fun Festival on May 27 and 28, you can find ideas for a healthy lifestyle, including physical activities and nutritious eating tips. Glass Weekend

You’ll become mesmerized watching artists sculpt and blow glass into pieces of art during WheatonArts’ Glass Weekend. Explore exhibitions, watch artist demonstrations and attend special lectures, panel discussions, social events and hands-on glass-making programs. Wine & Music Festival

Taste more than 100 local wines while you listen to live music, dig into dishes from food trucks and browse crafters at Sharrott Winery’s Wine & Music Festival on June 3 and 4. Advanced tickets are available until May 28 and cost $15 ($12 for Club Members). They also include a souvenir glass and wine tasting. Tickets at the gate cost $20 ($15 for Club Members). NJ Renaissance Faire

May Fair

Walk a mile of art galleries, craft booths and so much more at Collingswood’s 37th Annual May Fair.
